The safest methods
In our salons, we use our own brand, Hair Extensions by Char – made from 100% Eastern European human hair. This hair has the perfect texture and look to blend seamlessly with your own hair.
We offer two high-quality techniques: Keratin Wax Extensions and the new Invisible Weave Extensions. Both methods are safe, natural, and durable, but differ in their application.

Keratin Wax Extensions:
Thanks to the fine, carefully formed keratin bonds, these extensions blend seamlessly with your own hair. They are applied strand by strand, allowing for subtle blending, so no one will know you're wearing extensions. Ideal for a light and flexible hair extension or volume treatment.
Invisible Weave Extensions:
These ultra-thin weaves offer a seamless, lightweight, and comfortable solution. Attached with invisible bonds and flexible micro-rings, they feel natural and blend seamlessly with your own hair—without visible edges or harsh transitions.

Not every hair type is suitable, but if your hair is straight to wavy, it's a match! Unfortunately, we don't have curly hair extensions in our collection.
Hair Extensions by Char uses keratin wax hair extensions and invisible weaves, sourced from Eastern Europe and made from 100% human hair. We offer this hair in the "natural straight" style, in many natural hair colors and blends. If you're unsure if your hair is suitable, please send us a photo. We're happy to advise you.
No, when keratin wax hair extensions are applied and removed correctly, they are not harmful to your hair. The hair extension bonds are heated to a maximum temperature of 140 degrees Celsius using special attachment tongs. The wax bonds are then rolled up finely.
It's also important to take good care of your hair extensions during their wear period (maximum 4 months). We'll provide you with comprehensive advice on this in the salon.
No, our invisible weaves are ultra-thin and lightweight. They are attached with micro beads, and with proper professional placement, timely lifting, proper care, and proper removal, no damage can be caused.
The costs depend on your wishes, volume and/or length, and how many units or number of lanes you want to have installed.

Unfortunately, not. Consultations and hair extension placement are always by appointment. Same-day appointments are often not possible due to scheduling constraints. A treatment takes approximately 2.5 hours (shorter or longer sessions are possible, depending on the number of extensions being placed). Click here to easily schedule a consultation or appointment online.
Keratin wax hair extensions are only replaced during the wearing period if any strands have come loose. So, store these strands carefully and schedule your free, included service appointment approximately halfway through the wearing period (after about a month and a half).
After the wearing period (on average, 3.5 months), you can choose either "remove only" or "remove and insert new set."
We choose not to reattach/reuse the earplugs after removal, as this significantly reduces their comfort. This is because we then have to use loose wax bonds, which are thicker and less attractive than the bonds attached to the new earplugs.
The invisible weave hair extensions last an average of 8 months. We recommend having them uplifted about four times (every 8 weeks). If you have a subscription, this is included, as well as removal at the end of the wear period.
If you don't have a subscription, or if you want an additional (5th) uplift outside of your subscription, you'll pay an uplift fee. You can find all the details about the subscription and individual uplift fees here .
We are a N\O Creative Haircare brand salon, the 100% natural vegan haircare brand for boutique salons. We sell our products in our salons and online.
It's important to only use products that DO NOT contain parabens, silicones, sulfates, harsh chemicals, or oils during the wearing time.
NEVER use oil on the wax bonds or micro beads, only on the lengths and ends. The bonds can't withstand this and will slip.
Never use direct heat on the wax bonds or micro beads. Don't use a heat tool like a straightener or curling iron on the bonds. This will cause the wax to re-melt and damage the micro beads.
Brush thoroughly, including the wax bonds with wax hair extensions! Use a suitable brush for hair extensions (available in our salons and online) to brush over the bonds to prevent tangles.
Always start brushing from the bottom (with both methods) to detangle the underside first and avoid pulling too hard on the roots.

See our rates page under "Removal." We only remove our own keratin wax hair extensions (unless otherwise agreed upon). Removal of the extensions we've placed is included in our subscriptions.
We advise against hair extensions for potential clients whose own hair is extremely porous or brittle, for example, due to frequent bleaching. We also advise against them if their own hair is so thin that the scalp is visible. The strands or sections will be too visible in that case, and the result will not be beautiful.
In some cases, hair extensions don't fit into a potential client's lifestyle. Consider, for example, professional athletes like swimmers or speed skaters. Or if someone works in a profession that requires their hair to be tied back and headgear worn daily.
It's also important to realize that wearing hair extensions requires a little more care than not wearing them.
If this isn't a good fit for you, or if you don't want to do it, then it's not a good fit!
No, we only place our own keratin hair extensions and invisible weaves from our own label: Hair Extensions by Char.
It is not possible to bring hair extensions from another brand to us and have them placed and/or removed.
We specialize in keratin wax hair extensions and invisible weave hair extensions.
We also sell Flip-in/Halo Hair Extensions and Ponytails. These can be custom-made, and some colors can be ordered directly from our webshop .
In most cases, we can apply hair extensions. For relatively thin hair, we pay particular attention to ensuring that we don't add too many strands and that they're placed so they're not visible. Unfortunately, in some cases, your own hair is too thin, and the final result won't be as beautiful. The hairstylists at Hair Extensions by Char always offer honest and straightforward advice. If you're unsure, please send us a photo; we'd be happy to discuss the options with you.
The keratin wax extensions and invisible weave hair extensions we use are of the highest quality, sourced from Eastern Europe, and made from 100% hair. You can do (almost) everything with this hair that you do with your own hair. You can curl and/or style the extensions with a heat tool.
You should not bleach them, and we also advise against dyeing them to the same or a darker shade. While dyeing is possible, it can damage the hair and make the ends brittle.
We recommend choosing the color together with your hairstylist in the salon. If you're dyeing your own hair, we recommend doing so before your appointment. Please note: there should be at least a week and a half between the last coloring and the appointment with us. Regrowth can be touched up during the wearing period.
Yes, that's possible, as long as it reaches at least over your ears. It should also be as uniform as possible.
If you have any doubts, please send us a photo, we will be happy to advise you!
Yes, that's possible. Keep in mind that your hormones during pregnancy can affect your hair and therefore the wear time of the hair extensions. This can cause you to lose more hair, or it can cause you to retain more hair, leading to more hair loss after pregnancy.
